NIsf Shaban is the 15th night of the month s=Shaban, It is the eighth month of the Islamic calendar after Shaban Ramadan month came. The night is the 15 day of the month Shaban. It is believed that this is the blessed night and one can seek forgiveness and blessing from Allah SWT.

Importance Of Ghusl In Shab E Barat

On the Shab e Barat day after maghrib, namaz performs Ghusl. This Ghusl is done to safeguard from Magic till the next Shab e Barat.
Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu Ta’laa alayhi wa Sallam(PBUH) said, “Almighty Allah forgives all Muslims on this night, besides the fortune tellers, the magicians, the alcoholics, those who disrespect their parents and those who take part and encourage adultery”.

On this day after maghrib namaz perform ghusl with Berry leaves or you can also perform ghusl normally, if available you can use berry leaves take seven berry leaves and boil them in water, and after ghusl perform 2 Rakats nafl namaz Tahiyatul Wudu. In every Rakat read Ayatul Kursi once and surah Ikhlas 3 times.

Nafl Namaz For Shab-E-Baraat

On the 15 Shaban, Shab e Barat Allah Subhan Wa Ta’laa forgives all Muslims if a person is tauba and asks Allah for forgiveness. Read six Rakat nafl prayers which are 2+2+2 after Maghrib namaz. In every 2 Rakat read surah Yaseen once or you can also read surah Iklas 21 times and then read dua nisf e Shaban.

This is a special prayer all we know is that it is not compulsory to perform this salah as it is nafl but performing this salah will increase your knowledge and sawab.

The blessing of this prayer is Allah Almighty gives you a healthy and prosperous life for the whole year. After Isha read the surah Yaseen also three times and after each surah Yaseen read dua e nisf Shaban.
